Advice and representation for employers
HR Advice and Project Support
As experts in employment law, we often work in tandem with our clients’ HR teams to provide on-call support for any HR issues. We quickly answer questions, act as a sounding board, provide a second opinion, and share our first-hand experience of how issues are approached in practice – with the benefit of our extensive experience.
Examples of the areas that we can advise on include:
- disciplinary procedures;
- grievances;
- performance management;
- family friendly rights like maternity leave, paternity leave and shared parental leave;
- whistleblowing allegations;
- flexible working requests;
- complaints of discrimination;
- holiday pay and leave rights;
- sickness absence, including disability discrimination and reasonable adjustments;
- employment status queries;
- internal investigations;
- bonus disputes; and
- leave rights.
We also support clients with major workplace projects, such as changing terms and conditions of employment, or preparing for the impact of changing or new laws, drawing on support from other legal specialities when necessary.
We believe in the importance of working collaboratively, sharing expertise, and experience – this is integral to our ethos. To deliver on this, we often provide in-house training for the HR and business teams of our clients. This may be general in scope or to support a specific client project. In addition, we always invest the time to understand your business, find out how you prefer to work, and what your appetite is for risk, so the advice you receive is fully geared towards your needs.
