Senior lawyer subjected to pregnancy, maternity and sex discrimination
Our client was a senior lawyer in a large law firm who was subjected to detrimental treatment and harassment while suffering from pregnancy-related sickness, which had an ongoing impact on her health even after birth. We advised her on the submission of a formal grievance prior to her return from maternity leave and subsequently issued proceedings in the Employment Tribunal. The case was ultimately settled at mediation for a significant sum.
