Six-figure disability discrimination settlement for a bullied banking Executive Director
We advised an Executive Director of an American multinational banking institution in relation to serious health difficulties they developed as a result of their excessive workload and bullying behaviour from their line manager who demoted them, penalised them for taking sick leave and awarded a much-reduced bonus. We supported our client through their grievance process and the sham redundancy process they were later subjected to. We negotiated settlement of our client’s disability discrimination claims encompassing discrimination arising from a disability, indirect discrimination, failure to make reasonable adjustments, harassment and victimisation.
